A day with this plan
Bedtime = wake-up time − target sleep duration − time to fall asleep. This is a practical planning estimate, not a medical or individually validated sleep recommendation.
How this planner works
You choose a wake-up time, a target sleep duration, and how long it usually takes you to fall asleep. The planner subtracts the last two from the wake-up time and gives you the bedtime that fits, then lays the plan out for all seven days of the week.
Consistency matters more than a perfect number: keeping bedtime and wake-up time stable, even at weekends, supports a steadier rhythm.
Questions about schedule planning
- How is the bedtime calculated?
- Bedtime = your wake-up time − your target sleep duration − your estimated time to fall asleep. Midnight is handled automatically, so a wake-up time like 6:30 AM gives a bedtime the previous evening.
- Can I use different times on weekends?
- Yes. Uncheck the 'same wake-up time every day' option to set separate weekday and weekend wake-up times. The planner then shows both bedtimes in the weekly table.
- Is this a validated sleep recommendation?
- No. The planner is a practical schedule based on the target you choose. It is not a medical or individually validated sleep recommendation.
